DirecTV teams up with WeatherNation after its split from The Weather Channel to provide viewers with an enhanced experience with “Local Weather Now.” The new feature gives viewers instant access to local weather anytime and the first-ever Severe Weather Mix – six channels of interactive weather coverage on one screen during major weather events (BUSINESS WIRE).
Severe Weather Mix is set to launch early next month while the “Local Weather Now” feature is now available to DIRECTV customers. This feature gives customers access to local weather at the zip code level by a push of a button. While tuning in to WeatherNation (channel 362), a viewer simply presses the red button on their remote to gain instant access to local weather conditions and outlook. In addition, short term and extended forecasts run on the channel every 10 minutes.
